Ellerslie 2008

After days of fine weather it decided to rain for the 2008 Ellerslie Concours. Cold, windy, misty rain not ideal for a car show of any type let alone a concours event where white gloves are used to check how clean a show car is....

I trailered the MG down and the trailer is almost where it stayed, a slight break in the weather plus the fact I got up at 6 am to get there persuaded me to get it off the trailer. MG Car Club were hosting the event and had a great turn out.

Under threatening skies we 3 founding members of the Whangaparaoa branch of EBBS (Eggs Benny Brekkie Society) ventured off to the Galaxy of Cars @ MOTAT. The journey was puncturated by some posh nosh in Ponsonby... eggs benny all round of course...............


The Verdict : Expensive and lacking Hash Browns!!! Coffee was OK.

This years show did not seem to be as large as last year but the weather was not the best plus there is a lot of work going on around MOTAT so it was all a bit compact compared to earlier years. Hey there were cars there what more can a man want???

Bon Voyage Kelly & Tim

My little girl Kelly and her partner Tim left on their big OE yesterday. a couple of months in South America, a few weeks in the States then on to their base in London. Could be 1 year could be 2 but however long it is I will miss her tremendously... there will be a big void in our lives for a while. Luv ya Scoop.......
